White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt is holding a press briefing after President Donald Trump held a phone call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to discuss a partial ceasefire deal between Kyiv and Russia.
The press conference is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday from the White House.
Following his roughly hourlong phone call with Zelensky Wednesday, Trump characterized the interaction as "very good" and said that the United States is "very much on track" to clinch a partial 30-day ceasefire between Russia and Ukraine. Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed to make a temporary deal during a similar phone call with Trump on Tuesday.
